When getting Vmm32.vxd errors on boot up of PC, please follow the instructions below:
Print out these instructions so that you will have
them handy throughout the process.
Download the Patch for Vmm32.vxd error message
located in the Troubleshooting Windows section of the Frequently Asked
Questions.
Install VistaScan software from your UMAX CD by
doing a Typical Installation.
Restart the computer and watch for the prompt in the
next step.
When the computer says "Starting Windows
95
", hit the F8 key.
Select Safe Mode, usually option 3, then hit
the Enter key.
After the computer boots, click on Start,
then Find, then Files or Folders.
Type the following file in the Named section
of the Find window:
Umaxis11.exe and then click on Find Now.
Double click on the file that it finds and wait for
the unzipping procedure to prompt you for a directory. Please make sure that you direct it
to your Windows folder:
Example: C:\Windows
- Restart your computer by clicking on Start, then Shut Down, and
choose Restart the computer and click on Yes to restart.
